Itinerary: 

This is a day trip you can't miss during your stay in Ecuador!! Baños de Agua Santa is a city located at 1.820 meters above sea level (5,971 ft), on the north-eastern flanks of the Tungurahua Volcano (5.000 m - 16,404 ft), with a population of 12.995 inhabitants, and a lot of natural hot springs in downtown. It is an important tourist destination in Ecuador, located only at 176 kilometers south of Quito, and it is a natural entrance to the Ecuadorian Amazon Rainforest. 

Your guide will pick you up at 7:30 a.m. from your hotel in Quito to start this incredible adventure! On the way you will admire beautiful volcanoes like Antisana, Los Ilinizas, Cotopaxi and Tungurahua. Around 10:15 a.m. you will arrive to start a walk through the charming streets of Baños, and you will have time to visit the monastery of the "Virgin of Agua Santa”, where is possible to see paintings that describe different eruptions of the Tungurahua Volcano, that has been again in activity since 1999! 

You will drive towards the beautiful and stunning “Avenue of the Waterfalls”; beginning with a stop in front of the Agoyan's Hydroelectric Dam, then you do a walk towards the local community of "Río Blanco", where you clearly appreciate the beauty of the cloud forest! You will cross the Pastaza River Canyon on a cable car that rides a 500 meters-long-cable to visit "Manto de la Novia" waterfall, where you can learn all about the local people's lifestyle, doing a hike down to the river. After doing a stop at the viewpoint of "San Jorge" waterfall, you will have the opportunity to recover your energy having a tasty lunch, before going to visit the well-known Devil's Cauldron or "Pailón del Diablo" waterfall, where is already possible to see Amazon vegetation! You will be back in Quito approximately at 6:30 p.m., after having enjoyed more than four different microclimates on the same day!!
